Breeze is designed to help you get offline and onto a real-life date — quickly, safely, and enjoyably. We also want to make that experience as accessible as possible for people with disabilities or other health conditions.

If you’re unable to meet certain profile or date-planning requirements due to a disability, we’re happy to review a request for reasonable accommodation.

What you can request

You can request accommodations for:

  • A Date Location you can get into — for example step-free access, or an accessible toilet. More than 30 hours before the date you can change the venue yourself in the app; inside 30 hours, message us and we can turn it into a self-organised date so you choose the place
  • Bringing an assistance dog, and making sure your match and the venue know in advance
  • Wearing sunglasses in profile photos due to a sensory condition
  • Needing help uploading photos or completing your profile
  • Having limited availability windows due to a health-related condition
  • Difficulty confirming the date within our standard confirmation window
  • Reminders that actually reach you — we send them by push notification, email and SMS, and you can manage these in the app. If none of them works for you, tell us and we'll help you get one working
  • Other disability-related challenges that affect your ability to use Breeze as intended

Ask before you need it. An accommodation changes how your future dates are arranged; it can't undo a confirmation or a cancellation that has already passed.

If you asked us sufficiently in advance to put a Date Location change to your Match because the Location wasn't accessible to you, and had to cancel because they did not respond, tell us afterwards. The app applies the standard consequences the moment you cancel and we can't switch those off in advance, but we'll lift them and consider returning your Date Token, and you won't need to explain your situation again.

Note: No medical documentation is required — a short explanation is enough.

What we can’t approve

You can read more about what we do and don’t allow in our User Guidelines.

While we aim to be inclusive, we also need to protect safety, trust, and fairness in our community. This means we cannot approve:

  • Profiles that don’t include any clear, recognizable photo of your face
  • Profiles displaying firearms, unless you’re visibly military or law enforcement
  • Requests to cancel or change a date outside the allowed time windows
  • Reversing consequences already applied to a past date, unless we told you before you cancelled that we would undo them — a granted accommodation changes what happens next, not what has already happened
  • Refunds for Date Tokens when cancellation occurred in violation of our Match Adjustment Policy
  • Changes that bypass how Breeze is designed (e.g., skipping the confirmation flow or moving the date off-platform without mutual agreement)

How to request an accommodation

Ask us in the app through support chat, or email us — whichever is easier for you:

Email: help@breeze.social
Subject: Accommodation Request – [Your First Name]

Please include:

  • The phone number linked to your Breeze account
  • A brief explanation of what you’re requesting and why
  • Which part of the process (profile, date planning, etc.) it relates to

You’ll receive a response within 3–5 business days with next steps.

Our commitment

We treat all requests respectfully and in good faith. We’ll never reduce your visibility or limit your use of Breeze just for asking.

However, we also can’t make exceptions that would compromise how Breeze works or how users rely on the platform being safe and consistent.

If you have questions or are unsure whether something qualifies, you’re welcome to message us. We’re happy to think along with you.
