Safety Notices

Dating should be exciting, not stressful. At Breeze, we’re all about real-life connections, so you’ll likely meet someone in person quickly. That makes it extra important to trust your instincts, set clear boundaries, and stay in control of your plans.

Make sure to report people if they behaved inappropriately or crossed a line. Just go to their profile in the App, tap the three dots in the top right corner, and select “Report Profile”. This option is available whether you see their profile in your feed, you've matched with them, or you've already been on a date. If the match is no longer active, you can still find their profile in your match history.

Before the date

Go with curiosity, not blind trust.
Even if the vibe feels right, remember you're still getting to know each other. Take things at your own pace and trust your instincts. There is no substitute for acting with caution when communicating with any stranger who wants to meet you. If something already feels off during the pre-date chat – let us know. We’re here to help.

Keep your contact info private.
Never share your last name, phone number, email, address, place of work, or any other identifying information with other users on the app or in the pre-date chat. Sharing contact details before the date breaks our User Guidelines (Guidelines), and more importantly, it puts your safety and privacy at risk. If someone tries to pressure or trick you into revealing personal or financial info, stop the conversation and report them immediately.

Loop someone in.
Let a friend or family member know where you’re going and when you expect to be back. You can also share your live location with them. Once the date is confirmed in the app, you’ll receive a unique date ID – feel free to pass this on to someone you trust. If they ever need to reach us, that code helps us act quickly. It’s a simple step that adds peace of mind for both you and the people who care about you.

Meet at the arranged venue.
When we arrange the date at a partnered venue, meet there – they are aware that it’s a first date. If you need to select a venue yourself, choose a public place with many people around. If you’re not comfortable with the venue the other suggests, let us know. Stick to the plan and don’t change the venue in the pre-date chat.

Stay in control of your logistics.
Always travel on your terms. Never agree to be picked up or dropped off. Check your route home and when you should leave to get home safely. Staying independent helps you stay in control and safe.

Never send money.
If someone asks for money or financial help – in the chat before the date or afterwards – end the conversation and report them. Both people pay equally to make a Breeze date happen, and while splitting the bill can be done with the venue, there’s never a reason to request or send money through the app. If it feels fishy, it probably is.

Bring a charged phone and your ID.
Make sure your phone is charged so you’re reachable and in control. And don’t forget your ID – many of our venues require proof upon arrival that you’re above the legal age to drink alcohol (18+ or 21+).

During the date

Respect is non-negotiable.
Be kind. Be honest. Be clear about what you’re looking for. But most importantly, respect the other person’s boundaries – always.

Stay in charge of your pace.
You’re the only one who decides how things go on the date. You don’t owe anyone anything – not a second drink, not a kiss, not a follow-up.

Wait before sharing contact info.
Never feel obliged to share phone numbers during or right after the date. We advise saying “Let’s exchange numbers via the app.” This way, you can always change your mind later if the vibe’s not right. Take your time and decide what feels best after the date.

It’s okay to say no.
At any moment. No explanation needed. A simple, respectful “I don’t feel the connection” goes a long way.

If something feels off, ask for help.
If something doesn’t feel right, speak to the staff at the partnered venue – they’re there to support you. Out somewhere else? Don’t hesitate to ask for help from people around you. Trust your instincts – you’re never overreacting when it comes to your safety.

After the date

No pressure to keep in touch.
Not every date leads to something more, and that’s okay. If you didn’t feel it, you can easily decline to exchange phone numbers in the post-date in-app feedback. You never owe the other a second round or an explanation. If you wish to do so, we can pass a thank-you message via the post-date feedback. It’s a nice way to give the other some context without a way for them to follow up.

Respect digital boundaries.
If someone didn’t share their contact info, don’t try to look them up on social media or anywhere else— that crosses a boundary and goes against our User Guidelines (Guidelines). Also, if someone declines to exchange numbers, that’s their choice. We can’t (and won’t) pass on messages or ask them why.

If something felt wrong, talk to someone.
Speak to a friend, and don’t hesitate to report it in the app. Whether it’s something small or serious – if it made you feel uncomfortable, it’s worth speaking up. We’ve got your back.

Trust your gut – Always

If something feels off, it probably is. Trust yourself. Be kind, be clear, and don’t be afraid to walk away.

Let us know if someone breaks the rules or makes you uncomfortable. You can report them in the app — we take safety seriously. You can report users by going to their profile, clicking the three dots above (see image below), and clicking 'Report Profile'.
